CRM users can seamlessly capture and organize important information and notes related to their customers directly from modules like leads, contacts, or even from the related list. View all of the notes linked to a CRM record by visiting the Zoho Notebook related list with the CRM record you need to see.
Notes created in CRM do not carry any record-related information back to the notebook. Therefore when accessing the notebook, there is no way of knowing which record the note is associated with. It would be useful if when creating a note in CRM, a tag or some metadata was added to the note which allowed for the note to be associated with that record when viewing in the Notebook app.
No proper integration, no proper hand-writing capabilities.
Just doesn't quite do it for me. It's not integrated enough. What would be really handy is being able to integrate into the Workdrive so that you see the Notebooks from WD and be able to view them. I could then use them for client notes. And what would be really amazing is to be able to use it as a proper note taking tool that can take handwriting. At the moment the sketch ability is glitchy, it sometime disappears, at other times it removes formating from other elements, and worst of all, you just have that one little bit to write on. If your notes go on for more than a few lines you have to come out of the sketch and create a new sketch area which is a total Faff!
Just can't find a use for it without be able to handwrite notes quickly or tie it directly to a Clients record in the CRM or the Clients Workdrive space in the CRM. Might be good as a stand alone tool, but not within the Zoho Suite of apps.
A fair integration, however it would be really useful to see other hand written notes generated from within Notebook in CRM, rather than having to view all notes in notebook. We are also using other note apps as there is some functionality missing from within notebook itself.

Its a start. I don't see a way to link notes made on the app to CRM contacts. Unless I'm missing it, it you want a note linked to a CRM account, you have to start the note from there. Ideally just like emails, or tickets, you could link after the fact

So I take my notes in notebook, and push them to the CRM notes field for long term storage, so that I can delete the note and clean up my view?

Well, i just integrate this notebook-CRM, more easily way to manage as we have the notes ( images, video, etc. ) at a glance,on CRM, instead to go over Zoho Notebook, it working great and installation was very easy and fast. Thanks
***UPDATE*** I checked out the integration again and would say it it still is not ready for use.
1) Lack of API - My buggest hangup is the lack of an API. Adding this would allow power users to adjust the app to meet their needs as well as build in autosmations that they may already have in the native notes. 2) UI Nit Pick - The widget does not take up 100% of the width. I would like to see the cards laid out across the full width of the screen, and when clicked on they slide to the left exposing the content of the selected card. That card should take up the full width of the pain, vs what it does now taking up only about 50% of the remaining space. The font used is big reducing the amount of text that can be seen even further. The font size should match the font size used in every other module. 3) Notebook Organization -Add the ability to group all notes into your Default Notebook. Let the user pick which notebook it goes in and auto tag every Note with the 'Zoho CRM Note', Module Name, and Creator_Name. This will allow Noteboards to be setup to further organize what will end up a huge number of notes for most CRM Accounts. ***UPDATE***
I would avoid this extension until some major enhancements are made. The biggest issue that should stop anyone from using it is that the notes are tied to the user account; so if an employee leaves the company, their notes go away.

I like this feature but it's lacking one thing - When creating a note - I can't put that the note into a notebook - so I can't easily and quickly group notes together. This is core. I'll probably go back to just using CRM notes.

With syncing of a note to Contacts etc. in CRM this is a long overdue step forward. Many people have asked for this on the Community page. I look forward to its ongoing evolution.

For anyone who has ever struggled with the limitations of the built-in notes section in CRM, this is a game changer! This application adds so many features: rich Text notes, the capability to search multiple entries for keywords, the ability to create checkboxes, and recordings. THE BIGGEST DRAWBACK: It is NOT available for custom modules!! Dear Zoho- Please allow for use of this application with custom modules as soon as possible!!
