We have already emailed you the instructions from the ticket, that this issue is due to the deletion of the Box root folder. Please update the new root folder name in the “Box Settings“ web tab if you are creating a new root folder or recover the deleted old root folder from Box Trash files and check the “Add File to Box” popup which should work fine.

This extension is still not living up to expectations and it is very sad. Box is not a competitor of Zoho and is quite frankly the top provider of Document and Collaboration in the market today. I sent an email to support@zohoextensions.com and the partner support channel. We are a partner of Zoho and Box and it would be awesome if Zoho could help us to get this right.

I've got an error while uploading In Box Files i see: Folder for Zoho CRM is not created yet in Box. If you are an administrator, please go to Box Settings tab and create a Root Folder. And, if you are not an administrator please contact your administrator. What Root Folder i should create? --- Update: setting up root folders helps. But other limitations remain

It is almost not working. Folders should named by record ID like other reviewer said. And unfortunately, ZohoCRM can't move "attached file" to "BOX". We should download attached files and then we should upload to BOX.

I just sent an email to support detailing this, but I'll post here as well as a caution to others until it's fixed. Adding files creates a folder in Box using their name. Unfortunately if you have two contacts with the same name, this causes problems as they share the same folder and thus files. One solution may be to instead create folder names based on name record ID. For example, "Tom Jones 928121000007706017". Not sure if filename limits come into play here. Also would be nice if you could make use of Box's versioning. As of right now, uploading a document with same filename results in an error. I would like to see the upload successful, even with previous versions only viewable in Box.

Whoever made this extension hasn't got a clue about collaboration, specifically how document sharing works, folder structures, hierarchy etc. Even if they did use a collaboration tool, it wouldn't have been an enterprise grade tool like Box is. And this is clearly evident from the lack of documentation. Wrote to Zoho Extensions team - NO Feedback/response. Called them - Ditto. If the developer understood how Box or any other enterprise grade collaboration tool works they would have at-least cared to clarify: 1. How does the integration work with Folder Permissions on Box? 2. Which folder on Box does the data reside on? The one owned by admin or by each user? 3. How is this integration meant to be used? Is it just for dumping your data on Box for backup purposes, if in case something happened to Zoho? OR is it meant to work both ways, meaning you can navigate to a Potentials folder in Box synced on your PC to upload a larger file and still have it available in Zoho? Clearly NO thought was put into making this. Just some coder thinking whats the basic set of API's available to connect the 2 without any understanding of the collaboration concept. I mean if you don't know how to do it, just COPY it! Why reinvent the wheel??? Signup for Dynamics or Salesforce trial and see how they do it with SharePoint and Box!!
Hi Gaurav, Sorry that the help documentation didn't explain the exact functionality of the Box integration within Zoho CRM. We will improve the help documentation ASAP. Please find the answers for the questions in the order you asked. 1. The administrator has to create a root folder and manage the folder permission from Box. The integration will not set the permission automatically. 2 The data will reside only in the root folder created by the administrator. Each account will not have an individual folder. So, the administrator needs to share the folder to the users. 3 The integration works both ways so that you can navigate to potentials folder in box synced on your PC to upload a larger file and have it available in Zoho. Also, the data deleted on Zoho will not be deleted in the box. If you need further clarification then please write to us at support@zohoextensions.com. We are looking forward to assisting you.
