I am highly frustrated and experiencing agony due to the lack of support from RingCentral regarding Zoho based issues. When I contacted them, they informed me that Zoho issues are outside their support scope. The integration allows making calls, but call recordings are not saved in Zoho Call Module. I received no response when I inquired about this.
Additionally, a severe bug causes two call logs to be created in the Call Module for every call, with different call owners in each log. RingCentral defers the issue to Zoho, and Zoho attributes it to RingCentral, leaving the customer at a loss.
I am currently searching for alternative cloud telephony providers in the USA, such as Yeastar or Maqsam, that integrate seamlessly with Zoho.
It works very well (especially coming from Zoho Phone which is horrendous despite a nice UI and allegedly more functionnality), but there are a few misses. I found a great integration called ABR for RingCentral Texts which fixed my biggest issue - The inability to have a centralized system to track text. Now, we at least have the texts added to each CRM profile, but how that's not included by default baffles me. I'd pay extra for it (as I already do with ABR), but they'd rather wait on this. It's also very difficult to stop the pop for incoming calls when you're for example on a zoom and you have to hang up (which doesn't always work if they stay on the line...). Overall a good plugin but that needs a lot of love still!
When it it works...it works for us GREAT. You do need to be mindful that the RC/ZOHO bridge is connected...many things can disconnect them. I check mine to make sure they're together almost daily. If you do a cache clear, or some other PC cleanup, many time your bridge/connection is lost and not automatically reconnected. I really wish ZOHO and RC had an automatic SMS tool. The 3rd party tool on ZOHO marketplace stinks.
We have been using the service for three years now. We like the dialing client (soft phone) and the new changes to the CRM allow you to see or not see the call information which at times can be obrtusive. Overall, I would recommend. I feel we get the value for the money we pay.
Horrible company. They dont tell you about the 24 month contract that you have to sign until you ask to cancel their service. Then, they dont let you out of the contract either. In no way shape or form should a phone service have a 24 month contract.
He's talking about the Phone Cloud Service. It is disappointing that they impose the contract, but from my experience, I was very well aware of it. I even negotiated a better price in exchange for that commitment. Of course, our needs changed and we're stuck with it, but we did sign and agree to a contract so...
Best integrated phone provider for the best price. We're heavy outbound dialing and this is perfect! True single click to dial functionality, easy setup/management and recordings stored within Zoho. HIGHLY recommend! (FYI I've tried most of the US providers that integrate)
Update: No SMS that is becoming an issue. We live in a world that people just assume a small business is calling from their cell phone and will text back. Then when someone else answers a call, the call pop-up does not go away. Seems the other issues are fixed but need a way to remove or minimize call pop-up when on a call to get access to your CRM screen.
The integration works well. I dont log SMS so it basically does everything you would want in a CRM. We just ported away from Ring and this is far and away the feature we miss the most.
What was the features that Ring had over RingCentral if you don't mind me asking? What made you switch? I'm trying to determine which one of these to go with! Thanks
I ONLY GAVE IT 4 STARS BECAUSE THERE ARE A COUPLE THINGS THAT ARE JANKY. THE PHONE NUMBER HAS TO BE FORMATTED AND THAT MENAS MANUALLY CHANGING THOUSANDS OF LEADS AND CONTACTS PHONE NUMBERS. OTHERWISE, IT won't TIE TO THE APPROPRIATE LEAD/CONTACT NOR WILL IT TRACK THE ACTIVITIES AUTOMATICALLY. IT DOES NOT BRING IN THE NAME WITH THE NUMBER, NO SMS HANDLING OR LOGGING OR SENDING, MAJOR LET DOWN.
It works really well after you get it all setup. The ringcentral setup was the hardest part for us. However the integration into Zoho CRM was super simple and great. Call comes in on the office lines and we instantly know who it is and can take notes on that call that are then stored inside the crm. Good stuff!
Hi Sarah, may I ask if you use any IP deskphones where you can also see the contacts synced with Zoho? I struggled to find the right IP phone models that work with RingCentral service. Please advise!
