Zoho Calendar is a free online calendar application which enables you to create events to keep track of your meetings, appointments, and other important dates. The Zoho Calendar extension for Zoho Desk allows you to add events to a ticket and set up email reminders to help you remember them. For example, say you have a remote assistance session for a customer in two days. You can create an event on the customer's ticket and set reminders for any time before or after the event.
Key Features:
Create multiple events for the same ticket.
Stay organized with access to monthly, weekly, and daily calendar views.
Set up reminders so you don't miss important events.
Access the linked ticket from an event in your calendar.
It adds a calendar tab at the top of desk that shows your Zoho calendars. Do not see much benefit, adds a bit of clutter to desk. I disabled it and point people to calendars through Zoho Mail.
Improper Synchronization of Meetings: While meetings are categorized as events, they only appear at the side of the ticket while searching for them, but they do not appear to sync correctly within the Desk tickets themselves and are not counted as well. This creates a gap in usability and hinders effective scheduling and tracking.
Improvised System Design: The current synchronization system feels somewhat improvised and not fully aligned with the practical needs of users. A more thoughtful approach would greatly enhance user experience.
Those issues are also present with the Zoho Calendar. Events and tickets are not syncing accurately, causing confusion and inefficiencies.
Suggestions for Improvement:
Review the synchronization algorithms to ensure all event types, including meetings, are seamlessly integrated.
Not as expected! Zoho Desk Event activity does not integrate with Zoho Calender events. It is just an extension tab in desk... Unless, you need to show how the desk activity(meeting) gets into calender
Its not possible to connect and sync the calanedar to your own calender, this means you have a separate online calender to plan your tickets in.... not usefull for me

"0b60ecbb-0008-4977-9657-19c256b86175.zappsusercontent.com sent an invalid response" contacted support but they suggested trying a different browser and updating the plugin, but I have the most up to date plugin, and the error occurs in all browsers. Problem with the plugin. Support not listening.
Events can be created for a group calendar by inviting the attendees from Zoho Desk. In case there is an anomaly with the working of the extension, hit us up at support@zohodesk.com for further scrutiny.

Just wanted to let you know that we have now included the Group Calendar option into the extension. Do update the extension once to avail this functionality. Hope this helps.
We run our IT consulting firm on the Zoho One platform. We are just starting to use Zoho Desk for our ticketing needs but the lack of a native calendar for dispatch forced us to use a plugin from the marketplace. We tried both the Zoho Calendar and Google Calendar integrations and Google is far superior to Zoho Calendar for the following reasons:
The Zoho Calendar doesn't give a direct link back to the ticket without opening the appointment on my Zoho Calendar in Zoho Mail, copying the ticket link and pasting it into a web browser while if I make it on Google Calendar, I can click on the appointment details and an active hyperlink back to the Desk ticket with no need to copy and paste. This is needed in Zoho Calendar.
Secondly, Zoho Calendar does not give you the ability to view your staff's shared calendars in a column view, instead lumping everyone together into a single timeline which is very congested and hard to navigate without turning shared calendars on and off. This is very inefficient and requires much more clicking where as Google Calendar or even Outlook's calendar view allows for column views, making it easy to keep shared calendars in their own lanes/silos.
I hope you will consider adding these features to Zoho Calendars or better yet - PLEASE ADD A NATIVE CALENDAR INTO ZOHO DESK. That would be awesome!
